Light Ray Ventures is pleased toannounce its participation in XFuel's latest funding round alongsideco-investor SOSV.
XFuel, led by CEO Dr. Nicholas Ball, has developed proprietary technology thatconverts waste biomass into drop-in transport fuels for marine, shipping, road,and aviation sectors—industries responsible for 37% of global CO₂ emissions.
The company's fuels meet existing fossil fuel specifications, requiring noengine modifications or new infrastructure.
The Dublin-based company has raised $21.4M to date and is now generating revenue, with signed agreements from leading container lines and maritime operators.
